Our story
Crypto directories are broken. We're fixing ours.
CryptoSumo started with a simple frustration: every "top crypto resources" list we found was either a wall of affiliate links, a scraped database of anything that ever existed, or a blog post written by someone who'd clearly never used the tools they ranked.
So we built the directory we wanted to exist. One where every listing is actually reviewed by a human. Where you can see founded year, custody model, fees and security notes side by side without opening forty tabs. Where the security advice is as prominent as the links — because in crypto, the most expensive product is a mistake.
What we believe
- Lists should be short and honest. 87 well-researched resources beat 8,000 scraped ones. We reject most submissions and delist projects that die or turn predatory.
- Trust must be earned with transparency. Our selection criteria are public, our reviews are dated, and we disclose exactly how the site makes money.
- Security is the feature. Most crypto losses come from scams, phishing and sloppy habits — not from broken cryptography. So we teach the habits.
- Everyone starts at zero. Our guides assume you're new, and our glossary explains everything in plain English. No jargon walls, no gatekeeping.
- Speed is respect. This site is static HTML with no trackers, no cookies, no surveillance. It loads before you finish reading this sentence.
How the site works
Three layers, all free:
- The directory — 87+ resources across 12 categories, each with pros, cons, quick facts, fees and a security note.
- The guides — plain-English walkthroughs for the decisions that matter: choosing wallets and exchanges, spotting scams, staying secure.
- The glossary — every term you'll meet, defined like a human being wrote it.
How we make money
Some outbound links may carry affiliate tags, which can earn us a commission at no cost to you. Affiliations never influence what we list, what we call a Sumo Pick, or what we write — and we've never taken money for a listing. The full rules are in the editorial policy.
